American Photo Gallery
How many Ford Corsairs are there in North America? According to the North
American English Ford Registry there are five. This seems like a pretty healthy
number for a type of car that was never sold here and has been out of production
for over 30 years. It just happens that I have photos of all five, so I thought
I'd put them together in a neat little census.
Interestingly enough , of the five cars, three of the are North American spec
(unique combination of LHD, MPH speedometer and red rear turn signal lenses),
which is pretty good considering that you couldn't buy one from your friendly
local English Ford Line dealer. Instead these cars had to be specially ordered
and picked up at Dagenham (or other European cities).

1964 1500 Deluxe 2dr (LHD)
1964 2 dr (LHD) owned by Doug Milota, Eureka, CA. This car is an extremely rare model, one source says that only 24 LHD 1500 2 drs were built. The car is red and Doug saved this one from becoming scrap iron near San Francisco. The car is also missing essential features like an engine. Doug has a long way to go. 1964 2 dr (LHD) owned by Doug Milota, Eureka, CA. This car is an extremely rare model, one source says that only 24 LHD 1500 2 drs were built. The classic insult really came true for Doug Milota when he found this white LHD 1965 Deluxe abandoned along the 1-5 near Roseburg, OR. The car also had Bob Parkers card in the glove box. Doug has since gotten this car running, but now lack of space has put it on the market.
Doug always was threatening to paint the car yellow and put a green dingy on the roof.

1964 Deluxe 2 dr (LHD) owned by Micheal MacSems, Olympia, Washington. The car was bought originally by an Argentine woman living in Portland. At some point the car was involved in an accident and then changed hands.
The car was originally Ermine White with a red interior, but has since been painted two shades of blue. The car is not running and needs a full restoration
1967 2000E (RHD) owned by Glen Holt of Vancouver, BC. This is the only V4 Corsair known to exist in North America. Glen is British, and bought the car over in the 80's. The car is silver with a black vinyl roof and is in good original condition. Last year
Glen drove the car down to the Import Ford meet in Hillsboro, OR and then took the scenic route home with a detour up Mt St. Helens.
